Y Combinator, by far the most prestigious accelerator program in Silicon Valley, will host an online program for startups around the globe for the second time.

Startup School is a free, 10-week course that educates founders on how to grow and manage their startup through video lectures from entrepreneurs such as the WhatsApp co-founder Jan Koum or Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz. By offering this online course, YC aims to democratize startup know-how and to promote and prepare companies for its accelerator program.

Out of 15,000 startups which will participate in the program, only 3,700 will receive personal coaching from YC alumni in the “advisor track”. We are very excited about this opportunity and will share more details with you in the coming weeks and months.
