EnliteAI Energy builds FLEX, an AI-powered grid optimization platform for transmission and distribution system operators. Based in Vienna, with DSO customer engagements, published research with European operators, and one portfolio exit — Detekt, acquired by Cyclomedia in 2025.
enliteAI was founded in Vienna in 2017. We started with a market-intelligence product (Skope), learned we were better at building AI than selling analytics, and spent the following years doing applied-AI work for Audi, A1, Red Bull, the City of Vienna and a dozen other ATX and DAX names — including drafting the City of Vienna's AI strategy, the first of any Austrian municipality. That era taught us how research becomes something an enterprise actually runs.
Then we started building products of our own. Detekt — GeoAI for road infrastructure — went from seed round to acquisition by Cyclomedia, the global mobile-mapping leader, in under two years (2023–2025). Maze, our reinforcement-learning framework, went open source and won the international L2RPN grid-control competition in 2022. And the energy work that began with research collaborations grew into FLEX, customer engagements at Wiener Netze and Netze Burgenland, and published results with TenneT and ENEL.
Today the company is one thing: EnliteAI Energy, the team behind FLEX. The venture-studio chapter is over — sold, shipped or open-sourced — and everything we learned in it is in the product.
Renewables, storage and electrified demand are arriving faster than new lines can be built. FLEX helps operators get more out of the grid they already have — safely, transparently and with the operator in charge of every decision.

Speedinvest, Breeze Invest and Floud Ventures — the seed investors who backed the venture studio and stayed for the energy company. Ecosystem, consulting and research partners are on their own page.
